what different equipment can we use to create innovative visual footage ?
We now no longer need video cameras to capture video as we can now use mobile phones to capture video the first time we where able to use a mobile phone to capture video was in the early 2000's. You can now record up to 8k video at 24fps on the new Samsung galaxy S20 which was available for purchase in 2020. Another positive of using a phone as a video camera is that they are smaller than most other cameras so that it is a lot easier to carry around as it is a lot more portable. You can also film different types of footage on phones for example slow motion video or time lapse videos.
Another example of a pierce of equipment would be drones as this can be used to get a lot of different shots that where previously harder to capture. shots form drones could be used as establishing shots they may also be used a lot in documentary's specifically nature documentary and it would be easier to get a shot with a drone rather than using a Crain as they are a lot bigger. drones also have stabilizers in now to keep the footage steadier while filming. A lot of drones have apps that allow you to see the video footage live as it is being used used. you can also use your phone to control the drone.
We can also now use 360 cameras which allow you to move the footage around while watching to be able to see different things that may be happening in the video this can be achieved my using a VR head set or you could view the footage on a phone or computer and use your finger or curser.
what ways can you view video ?
There are many different ways to view video this can include watching it on a phone, iPad, laptop or a television ; these are the most popular ways to watch footage and the most conventional. Another way to watch videos would be VR , which stands for virtual reality.
Another way to view this footage would be the igloo the igloo is a 360 degrees room that has 6 projectors that project footage onto the walls of the igloo to create a new way to view 260 video.
positives and negatives of the igloo:
One of the positives is that you can fit many people in to watch. it can also be used for a lot of different circumstances for examples some companies may use this to show off their products.
However one of the negatives would be if multiple significant things are playing at the same time it is hard to divert peoples attention to it therefor people may miss parts of the video.
